OUR MISSION STATEMENT
The
Polynesian Cultural Association was created to provide lifelong education,
to preserve our culture and to educate our people to become
self-reliant and contributing members of society. We focus on the needs
of our youth, and teaching our community to become active citizens.
Our
overall mission is to bring together all islanders and “islanders at
heart” to share in the compassion that our culture has to offer.
Culture understanding breeds appreciation and respect, therefore
inspires our youth and community to keep the island spirit alive and
strong. As we involve ourselves in this cycle of learning we enrich our
character through various programs, activities, and workshops.
With
education being a key factor, the PCA continuously strives to teach and
pass on to our youth the traditions and customs that will forever be with
us and, to allow us to make public awareness and share with all what
the Polynesians are about.
