2008 PCA Board
OUR MISSION STATEMENT
The Polynesian Cultural Association was created to provide lifelong education, to preserve our culture and to educate our people to become self-reliant and contributing members of society. We focus on the needs of our youth, and teaching our community to become active citizens. Our overall mission is to bring together all islanders and islanders at heart to share in the compassion that our culture has to offer. We focus on the youth of our community, striving to teach and keep the island spirit alive and strong through various programs, activities, and workshops pertaining to education and community involvement allowing us to become law abiding citizens and resulting in continual community participation. With education being a key factor to achieve this goal, the PCA constantly strives to teach and pass on to our children the traditions and customs that will forever be with us and, to allow us to make public awareness to share with all what we are about.
We are committed to:
• Providing Scholarships for continuing Education to enrich the opportunities of our citizens within society
• Programs, services and activities that promote community involvement.
• Preserving our Culture and Traditions by teaching our children who are born and raised in the United States the importance of maintaining and preserving our heritage. |
